Diabetes is a very common problem in today’s world. It is a common problem but in no way is it an insignificant one. Nearly 6% of the world’s population is leaving with diabetes. This portion is 10% for the USA. Being overweight is one of the major reasons for the high diabetes rate. If we are to point for two main culprits then they will be saturated & trans fat and sugar from drinks. Diabetes can create many complications but you can live a healthy life just from a balanced diet and regular exercise. Foods like non-starchy vegetables, fruit, and protein are the best foods for diabetes.

Vegetables like potatoes, corn fall under this category. Starchy is bad news for diabetes patients. Try to limit them as much as possible but don’t exclude them. Your body needs its fair share of starchy vegetables.

Diabetes patients need a daily dose of fruits to keep a healthy lifestyle. There is a lot of fruit available in the market. You can go for superfruits like avocados or you can go for more available options like apples. Some fruit you should or must include are

Avoiding beef will keep you healthier and also keep carbon emissions at a low point.
